In 2012, we decided to help out a village community halfway around the world. This poor village in Sri Lanka didn't have a clean water system. Young girls walked miles each day to get water from a river. This water was dirty and caused many health problems in the village. Children weren't going to school because they were sick or getting water for their families.
The solution to their problems was easy access to clean water. Local business Eden in Love "adopted" this village from 2012 - 2017 to make this possible and our students helped by donating money from the library fundraisers and sending pictures of love to the school children.
Eden in Love owner Tanna Dang recently wrote a nice summary of the project that shows how much this village has changed because of the support: https://www.edeninlove.com/eden-for-good/www.edeninlove.com/eden-for-good/
