Hours - COVID-19 Update:
Our school library building is currently closed during the Learn from Home phase of distance learning.
Library books may be returned to the box in front of the office.
Mrs. Lau will be teaching library classes virtually until school reopens.
When We Return:
To prevent the mixing of ohana bubbles, the library will be closed during recesses and before/after school.
Mrs. Lau will be bringing the library to your classrooms instead.
A new Library Take Out service will be available to help you borrow library books.

Policies and Procedures
In addition to the 3 B's and IB Learner Profile, Aina Haina students follow three guidelines when they visit the library:
Walk.
Whisper.
When you use something, put it back in the right place!
Borrowing Policy
Grades K - 1: 1 book at a time
Grades 2 - 3: 2 books at a time
Grades 4 - 5: 3 books at a time
Parents: 5 books at a time
*NEW* Library Take Out Service (Starting when school reopens)
Students can request books from the library collection by logging in to their LS2 Pac account and placing books on hold. Mrs. Lau will deliver these books to the classroom in clear, sealed bags.
Parents can participate in the Library Take Out service and borrow library materials by emailing Mrs. Lau directly: shelley.lau@k12.hi.us
The borrowing period is two weeks. Please return your books on time or bring them to school to get renewed.
Lost/Damaged Book and Refund Policy
Any person checking out materials from the school library is responsible for the care of these items. Fines will be assessed for damages and students will be asked to pay for the lost/damaged materials in the amount necessary to purchase an exact replacement or one that is comparable if the item is no longer available. Cash or checks (made out to Aina Haina School) are accepted.
Refunds will be given for lost materials that are later found if the items are in good condition and are returned within the school year in which they were lost.
